Changing your Filter(s) part 2

Why should we change our filter?

Changing the Air Filter regularly will prolong the life of your HVAC System because the air filter is designed to keep the dirt, germs and debris out of the internal system. Even the smallest particles can cause damage to your system and require costly repairs.

How do you change a filter?

First; turn off the Furnace

Second; Locate the filter in the Furnace closet or attic. Make sure you get the size (usually on the side of the filter example 16X25X1) .

Third; Remove old filter and replace with the new one. Be sure to put the filter in right side up.

If the filter is put in upside down air can still go through it however the air handler will have to work much harder to get the air flow through that filter and therefore causing loss of airflow, higher electricity bills and could lead to damaging the system.

If you are unsure how to change your filter or even where to get a filter, please give us a call! (714) 399-5461
