Maximizing Your A/C Efficiency

1. Set your Thermostat at a reasonable temperature and leave it alone. (Systems are not made to be running below 73*to 75* for extended periods of time) 

If you keep a set temperature your system will maintain that temp in your home/office. Thermostats set at lower levels will not cool your house off any quicker, just will cause the system to run harder and longer. 

2. Close all the windows and doors before running system. Remember as a kid your parents would say “Shut the door, we’re not cooling off the neighborhood!” Same principal applies here.

3. Keep area around your condenser (outside unit) clean and clear of debris. Airflow needs to be at least 2′ from your air conditioner. 

4. Change your filter regularly. (see other post for more details)
